Features: PHOSBRAZ CPA2 is a silicon-free brazing alloy with good fluidity (6.4% phosphorus) containing 2.0% silver, which lowers its liquidus point, refines the alloy, increases electrical conductivity, and enhances ductility compared to conventional PHOSBRAZ CuP. Resistance to vibration and pressure cycles is also improved. A versatile alloy for copper-to-copper brazing (self-fluxing on copper, therefore no additional flux is required). This alloy is particularly suitable for brazing standard clearances. Corrosion resistance is comparable to that of copper, except when the joint is exposed to sulfuric gases or high temperatures.
Applications: PHOSBRAZ CPA2 is used in copper-to-copper brazing due to its self-fluxing properties and its good cost-effectiveness. It can be used on copper-to-brass brazing with PHOSBRAZ flux. Applications: Plumbing, electrical, air conditioning/refrigeration, ventilation, fluid transport systems, etc. Can be used with a flame. PHOSBRAZ CPA2 can be used over the temperature range (-20°C => +150°C) without loss of strength.
